Jesus Christ taught his disciples, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). His arms are wide, welcoming everyone to “partake of His goodness” no matter who we are, where we’re from, or what we’ve done - “black and white, bond and free, male and female” (2 Nephi 26:33). He offers peace, gives hope, forgives mistakes, strengthens weaknesses, and enables us to reach our divine purpose as we strive to follow Him. If you’re visiting our website because you have been called to serve in our mission or have a family member or friend serving here, welcome! We are very excited to get to know you!
You will love the people here. They are warm and friendly. Our missionaries speak English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, and sometimes other languages. That’s because Houston attracts people from all over the world, giving the city a rich cultural diversity. It’s the headquarters of human space travel, the energy capital of the world, a center of medicine, and a Mecca for foodies, sports fans, and artists. But most important, it’s an exciting place to serve as a representative of Jesus Christ. You will have the opportunity to bless many people.
